If you’re already in Cusco or planning to visit Machu Picchu and don’t have an entrance ticket, you have to choose option 2: travel to Aguas Calientes the day before your visit to buy your ticket directly from the Ministry of Culture office. If you want to buy your ticket on the same day and visit Machu Picchu, you won’t be able to. They always sell tickets for the following day, and if you don’t have enough time, it’s best not to travel to Machu Picchu. Tickets are no longer available for purchase through Onlyne for the entire month of July.
