Imagine tracing ancient footsteps through mist-clad mountains, where history whispers through stone pathways. With MUGJU’s Cusco to Machu Picchu Inca Trail Tours, we will guide you on an unforgettable experience along the legendary Classic Inca Trail, a 43-kilometer (26.7-mile) adventure that bridges the past and present. This is not just a hike to Machu Picchu—it’s a pilgrimage through sacred landscapes, cloud forests, and Incan ruins that reveal the genius of a lost civilization.

As we navigate the trail to Machu Picchu, you’ll conquer iconic landmarks like Dead Womans Pass(4,215 meters / 13,828 feet), where panoramic Andean vistas reward your perseverance. We’ll traverse stone staircases carved by the Inca, camp under star-strewn skies, and wake to the symphony of nature. Along the way, explore hidden gems like Wiñay Wayna, the “Forever Young” ruins, before arriving at Machu Picchu through the Sun Gate at dawn—a moment that etches itself into memory.

Unlike the Salkantay Trek or Lares Trek, the Classic Inca Trail offers exclusive access to the original pathways leading to the Inca citadel. Permits are limited, so we recommend securing your spot months in advance. Our expert team will handle every detail, from cozy sleeping bags to securing your entrance to Machu Picchu. After exploring the citadel, we’ll descend to Aguas Calientes for a well-earned rest before returning to Cusco.

Whether you’re drawn to the challenge of hiking the Inca Trail or seeking a deeper connection to Andean heritage, MUGJU’s treks to Machu Picchu blend adventure with authenticity. We’ll ensure your journey is seamless, sustainable, and transformative. Ready to step into history? Let’s make your dream of visiting Machu Picchu a reality—one ancient stone at a time.
